Today again I received an e-mail from a library assistant of the STM (Seminary Theoloji Malaysia, Malaysian Theological Seminary).
He informed me of the recent material on the religious issue by the MCCBCHST (Malaysian Consultative Council of Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Sikhism and Taoism). He is so kind that he often tells me the relevant information to my research or circulates newspaper clippings by e-mail attachments. Sometimes he takes labour to send me some books I ordered from Japan.
He and I have been knowing each other since the year 2000 when I first visited the STM library. He was working in the library of University of Malaya(Perpustakaan Utama Universiti Malaya) before joinig the STM as a library staff.
Without these kinds of assistants like him and others, I could not have done anything about my studies on Christianity in Malaysia.
Now in Malaysia where the 50th anniversary of independence is coming around the corner, the ethno-religious issues are highly debated and discussed more than before.
