Today I received the latest issue of the journal “Studies in Christianity” (Vol.69, No.1) from the Divinity School of Doshisha University, Kyoto. This is the oldest journal among the related journals of Christianity in Japan since 1923.
Prof. Emeritus Dr. Hashimoto Shigeo’s article on ‘Significance of the Temple in Paul’ seems to be interesting. Dr. Hashimoto is the professor who gave me last year his Japanese New Testament by Federico Barbaro(1913-1996), two German New Testaments and the Greek Concordance in German which he bought in Princeton, US in 1965 when I was born. Two months later he also recommended me that I should try to submit articles on Christianity in Malaysia to the journal.
Prof. Dr. Hara Makoto and Prof. Dr. Ada Taggar-Cohen from Israel also supported this idea. I am glad that the door was opened by such professors of Doshisha University, because it is not my alma mater.
Now I am thinking how I should compile my own data for the journal.
