Whenever I open my personal notebook, it indicates me that I should renew my 10-year-passport as soon as possible after last June. 24 December 2007 is the expired date for my passport and I have to do some procedures before I become busier than now.
Today I went to the town office where I live in to collect some necessary official documents. I learned that I should go to the central office of Osaka city to receive the testimony of our family registration under my husband’s name. It is somewhat troublesome, but as a ‘loyal’ citizen and national of Japan, I will follow the instruction and do the proper procedures.
Compared to the non-Malay, non-Muslim Malaysians, I have been very fortunate not to be discriminated against simply because I am a Japanese in Malaysia. However, my stay and research in Malaysia so far taught me how important and significant it is for everyone to be protected by the stable and responsible government without any discrimination based on race, religion, etc. I have been quite lucky to be born in Japan, but the happier I feel, the more I have responsibility for the ‘less fortunate’ others in the world.
