Overseas Chinese are people of Chinese birth or descent who live outside the Greater China area (Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan). People of partial Chinese ancestry living outside the Greater China Area may also consider themselves overseas Chinese.

Within Southeast Asia, the language situation of overseas Chinese varies greatly even amongst neighboring nations; Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Brunei, and Philippines.
There are many overseas Chinese people living in North America who speak a variety of Chinese dialects and in the United States and Canada, one of these Chinese dialects combine to make it the third most spoken language. But, for those can read, almost all can all understand Chinese written Chinese characters.
In August 2007, Ms. Deborah Tang, a Malaysian Chinese woman, received a Chinese version of “Heaven 1,” authored by international evangelist Dr. Jaerock Lee as a gift from an acquaintance. She read the book cover to cover in a short time, and says she was surprised as she learned in the book about the existence of many dwelling places in Heaven and different glories according to the measure of faith.
Ms. Tang said that she was fascinated when Dr. Lee wrote about by the best dwelling place, which is “the New Jerusalem.” At that time, heaven had only been only a vague notion in her mind, but after reading the book, the hope for heaven overflowed in her heart.
“At the end of 2010, I started Manmin Publishers in Johor Baru, Malaysia, with the heart that desires all people to receive salvation and go to heaven,” said Deborah Tang.
“We have mainly published Dr. Lee’s books which contents are purely Bible based,” Tang continued.

She has published many of Dr. Lee’s books, such as the English version of “The Law of God,” and Chinese versions of “The Message of the Cross,” “Tasting Eternal Life before Death,” “Spirit, Soul, and Body 1,” Heaven 1 & 2,” “God the Healer,” “Awaken, Israel.”
Eventually, she says that she also plans to publish these seven books: “The Measure of Faith,” “Hell,” “The Law of God,” “The Fountain of Wisdom,” “Lectures on the First Corinthians 1 & 2,” and “The Footprints of the Lord 1,” in Chinese.
The books are then sold throughout many countries such as Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, India and Philippines, where many overseas Chinese people live.
The books are also introduced through many international book fairs and world events.
The Manmin Bookstore that is run by President Deborah Tang is located in the Eastern area of Malaysia where she was born and many Christians dwell. She says that the holiness gospel and the power of God that are written and preached about by Dr. Lee are being spread out from the bookstore.
