Today I received another latest publication from the U.S. entitled “International Bulletin of Missionary Research”(Vol.31, No.3, July 2007).
According to Rev. Dr. Barbara Brown Zikmund, an American female scholar and former Professor of Doshisha University, the theological inclination of this bulletin is ‘Pretty conservative.’ The editorials think that ‘Christianity is the only way’, she said when I asked her face to face on 8 November 2004 at the office of Doshisha University. ‘But it is good to converse with them especially regarding the other religions in foreign countries. They are having well-researched projects.’
Whether conservative or not does not matter to me. Once I understand their theological trend, I can make full use of them freely by my own preferences.
The latest volume is interesting. The contents are:

・‘Godless Europe?’
・‘Can Europe Be Saved?’
・‘Violence and Mission in the Fourth and Fifth Centuries: Lessons for Today’，etc.
Last year, the crises of the Japanese churches were on the topic in this bulletin. It is good for me to obtain information about Japan outside the country.
